ON VIEW: February 4th to February 8th
GALLERY PARTY: Wednesday February 6th /// 7pm - 11pm

Showcasing work from current members about, incorporating, or created entirely from fabric. Conceptualized by Nicki Koning, a former studio resident and active member. The term "fiber art" came into use by curators and art historians to describe the work of the artist-craftsman following World War II. After the 1980s, postmodernism and feminist art expanded the medium elevating it's status from domestic to the conceptual. "The Thread" examines all things fabric nearly 40 years after it's explosion onto the scene. Artwork by Reuben Kern
